Scot serves as the Southeast Director and a member of the ACHSIA Board of Directors, representing the Southeast chapters of the association. His primary goal is to grow membership by encouraging current HSI personnel to participate in chapter activities and join as associate members. With the recent closure of the Roger Von Amelunxen Foundation, Scot is also committed to enhancing the association’s support initiatives, providing assistance to HSI personnel in times of need.

Scot Rittenberg leads the Federal Practice for Guidepost Solutions LLC, where he oversees the company’s GSA Schedule contract and its services to federal agencies. In this role, he also helps companies navigate the complexities of federal acquisition, whether they are managing existing government contracts or seeking to enter the federal marketplace. Mr. Rittenberg’s expertise includes supporting clients in building relationships with federal agencies, providing actionable business intelligence for crafting successful proposals, and securing agency leadership support to foster long-term partnerships after contract awards.

With more than 30 years of service as a special agent with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the U.S. Customs Service, Mr. Rittenberg brings extensive experience to ACHSIA. He served as the deputy associate director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR), where he was second in command. During his tenure, OPR achieved significant milestones, including creating an expedited preliminary clearance process for critical agency contracts, launching an Insider Threat Program that identified and mitigated vulnerabilities, establishing a threat management framework, and improving the efficiency of misconduct investigations.

Mr. Rittenberg’s deep expertise spans border security, smuggling, intellectual property rights, national security, and combating transnational criminal organizations. His diverse assignments included operational roles at land borders, international airports, and seaports. Additionally, he held numerous senior leadership positions, including acting and deputy special agent in charge (SAC) for Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in Washington, DC; acting and assistant SAC for the Baltimore field office; chief of staff for the ICE Office of Investigations; interim chief of the headquarters Contraband Smuggling Unit; and interim Treasury liaison for the U.S. Customs Service.

Among his many accolades, Mr. Rittenberg received the Department of Homeland Security Secretary’s Award for Excellence for his leadership in reviewing U.S. Secret Service operations after an incursion into the White House. His efforts resulted in significant enhancements to the security of the White House Complex.
