Community
The ACHSIA website features a secure, members-only directory that provides personal and business contact information for its members. It also houses an archive of previous editions of the bi-annual newsletter, which includes historical articles, updates on retirements, new members, wellness and finance tips, and information on pending legislation affecting retirement and post-government careers.
Each year, ACHSIA hosts a membership convention that brings members together for an in-person board meeting, a general membership meeting, and engaging topical presentations. The convention also includes social events designed to foster camaraderie and networking opportunities for members and their families.
Support
ACHSIA is structured into local and regional chapters nationwide, offering members regular opportunities to connect with active and retired HSI employees. Many chapters also engage in local fundraising initiatives and collaborate with other community organizations, fostering meaningful partnerships and supporting causes chosen by the chapters.
Honor
ACHSIA actively supports HSI's mission by showcasing its achievements and successes to the public. Through its Chapter Network, ACHSIA maintains strong ties with HSI field offices, participating in local awards ceremonies and events upon invitation. Additionally, ACHSIA honors local employees for their exceptional contributions to advancing HSI's mission.
Legacy
ACHSIA leverages the extensive experience of its membership to provide valuable networking opportunities and support for post-retirement employment. Recently, ACHSIA hosted its first online webinar on post-retirement career opportunities, and, based on positive feedback, plans to continue offering webinars, individual mentoring, and guidance for both retiring and retired employees.
In addition to supporting retirees, ACHSIA members also offer mentoring and coaching to current HSI employees, helping them navigate their careers while balancing personal and family needs. With members who have served in every position and at every level of the organization, ACHSIA understands the unique challenges employees face and is dedicated to providing career support and guidance.
