Daniel "Dan" Sedley, 74, of Mount Laurel, New Jersey, passed away on October 2, 2023.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Dan eventually moved to Mount Laurel in 1984 with his family.  Dan proudly served in the United States Marines from 1970 to 1976.  He was a graduate of Notre Dame and Philadelphia Biblical University.  Prior to retiring in 2009, Dan was Chief Inspector of Customs in Philadelphia and was a valued employee since 1971.

Dan was a strong believer in his faith and a dedicated member of Fellowship Community Church in Mount Laurel.  He was a past season ticket holder for 11 years for the Phillies and a founding season ticket member of the Philadelphia Union from 2010 to present.

With Dan's extremely generous nature, it is no wonder that when he retired, he became very active in volunteer work with multiple charitable organizations - most recently Seeds of Hope Ministries and Stephen Ministries.  He was loving, very intelligent and had a competitive edge about him.  Family, faith and country were words that came to mind when talking about Dan.  His pride when talking about his family was evident and spending time with them was incredibly important. With many traveling excursions, whether it was skiing in Vermont or just traveling through the United States or Europe, he and his family/friends made many treasured memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.

Beloved wife of 49 years to Kathleen (nee Harbin) Sedley; devoted father of Scot (Kathleen) Sedley, Heidi (Aaron) Mack and Becky (Brian) Newell; loving grandfather of Shaun; dear brother of Mark (Brendys) Sedley and Craig (Barbara) Sedley.  Dan is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, his furry pal, Tobey and predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Evelyn (nee Szepe) Sedley.

Relative and friends are invited to Dan's visitation on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at the Mount Laurel Funeral Home, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ  08054.  Please join Dan's family for his Memorial Ceremony on Friday, October 6, 2023, 10:00 AM at Fellowship Community Church, 1520 Hainesport-Mt. Laurel Road, Mount Laurel, NJ  08054.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dan's memory to Seeds of Hope Ministries or to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
