Jerome "Jerry" Joseph Guerrin, 79, of Derry, NH, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH.
He was born on April 26, 1945, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Jerome and Edna (Lee) Guerrin. He graduated from St. Francis College, Brooklyn, NY.
Jerry proudly served his country with the United States Army serving as a Military Police Officer in Korea during the Vietnam War. Upon his return home, he resumed working with the United States Custom Agency as a Special Agent Group Supervisor at SAC offices in NYC, Washington, D.C. and Boston. He was president of the New England Chapter of the Association of Former Customs & Homeland Security Special Agents. He will be missed by many and his stories will live on forever. Jerry was an active member of the Derry Salem Elks Lodge and participated in their pool leagues. He also enjoyed kayaking with Carol in NH, ME and eastern Long Island, NY and attending many Pan Am alumni conventions and functions.
Jerry is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years Carol (Utterback) Guerrin, a Pan Am Stewardess he met while working as a Sky Marshal and their first date was to the Taj Mahal, Agra, India; their children: Michelle Guerrin and her partner, Ulysses Spinazola of Windham, NH, and James Guerrin of West Virginia; his sisters: Catherine Madayag of Chicago, IL and Carol & Charles Geier of Belle Harbor, NY and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to Calling Hours on Monday, June 10, 2024, from 4-7pm, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, beginning at 11 AM at First Parish Congregational Church, 47 East Derry Road, Derry, NH 03038. A reception will follow at the Derry Salem Elks, 39 Shadow Lake Rd, Salem, NH 03079.
