Thomas G. Flynn of Royal Palm Beach, Florida passed away peacefully at home November 10, 2022, after a long battle with Parkinson’s.
Tom was born in Brighton, Massachusetts on April 23, 1946. He earned his bachelor’s and MBA from Boston State College. He proudly served the US Government for over 33 years starting with the Army Security Agency in Vietnam. He then started his career at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), then transferred to US Customs Agency, where he ended his career as a Senior Special Agent in charge of West Palm Beach, Florida. After retirement, he spent 7 years with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) as an Investigator. On Sunday’s he enjoyed volunteering as an usher at St. Juliana’s Church.
Tom is survived by his wife of 48 years Marie (Pacitto) Flynn, his two daughters Renee Kerezman (Steve), Melissa Axel (Sean) and his son Tom Flynn (Heather), his three grandkids Bryan (Sam), Bailey (Tara) and Rachel, his two nieces Kathleen Hannigan and Karen Hannigan, his sister Joan Cardinal and brother Patrick Flynn. He is predeceased by his father Patrick J. Flynn, his mother Ellen (Sheehy) Flynn and his sister Nancy Flynn.
Tom was immensely proud of his family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. He will be greatly missed.
A viewing will be held from 5 pm-7 pm with a prayer service from 7 pm – 8 pm on Monday, November 14th at Palms West Funeral Home and Crematory, 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411 followed by a funeral mass at 10 am on Tuesday, November 15th at St. Juliana’s Church, 4500 South Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach, FL 33405 with funeral services at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, 10941 Southern Blvd, Royal Palm Beach, FL, 33411.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in memory of Thomas G. Flynn to either the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research or the Parkinson’s Foundation.
